Fairy tale on earth: The Rock, Jozani Forest, Mtende Beach, Salaam Cave

The Rock. We start with one of Zanzibar's most recognisable spots — a restaurant in a tiny house on a rock right by the ocean. Before noon you can walk there, in the afternoon you go by boat. Perfect for a coffee, a drink or a meal with an ocean view (table reservation charged extra).

Mtende Beach — one of Zanzibar's most beautiful beaches: high cliffs, white sand and a blue you won't forget.

Meeting village children — an experience full of warmth and joy. It's worth bringing small gifts: crayons, notebooks, toys, colouring books.

Jozani Forest — Zanzibar's largest forest and the only place on Earth where the endemic red colobus monkeys live. A walk among tall trees, lianas and ferns, and in the south a boardwalk through the mangroves with “breathing” roots and colourful crabs.

Salaam Cave. Finally, a cave in the south of the island: crystal-clear turquoise water inside the rock, a swim and time with sea turtles. The perfect end to the day.
