Day 1: Tarangire National Park — land of giants. 5:30 hotel pick-up, flight to Arusha and a safari in Tarangire, home of elephants: thousands of them roam the savannah among monumental baobabs and often come very close to the vehicles. Also Masai giraffes, buffalo, gazelles, lions, leopards, baboons and over 500 bird species. Dinner and overnight at Fanaka Lodge.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater — meeting the Big Five. After an early breakfast we descend the steep road to the crater floor, one of the most spectacular natural formations on Earth. Within a few hours you can see lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard, plus wildebeest, zebras, hippos and warthogs. Picnic lunch, return to Arusha, flight to Zanzibar and hotel transfer.
