Mikumi safari — 1 day
A morning flight from Zanzibar, a full day in a 4x4 among elephants, giraffes and lions, back in the evening.
Duration: 1 day (5:45–evening), no overnight
The trip starts at 5:45 with hotel pick-up and an airport transfer. The 7:15 morning flight takes us to the airstrip by Mikumi National Park, where an experienced driver-guide with an open 4x4 awaits.
Mikumi is a festival of wild Africa: herds of elephants on the savannah, giraffes reaching for acacia leaves, zebras and buffalo, hippos and crocodiles by the river and, with luck, lions and leopards. Baboons in the treetops, hundreds of bird species overhead.
A hot lunch break in the park. At 15:45 back to the airstrip and the flight to Zanzibar, then a transfer to your hotel. Ideal for anyone who wants to see wild Africa in a single day.
